Michael and I met in the most unexpected yet beautifully ordinary way, and from the very beginning, something felt intentional. What first drew us together was the most important thing in both of our lives — our faith. Sharing a love for the Lord gave our connection depth right from the start.

Our first date was simple — coffee and dinner — but it quickly became anything but ordinary. Conversation flowed effortlessly, laughter came easy, and neither of us wanted the night to end. Since Michael is from out of state, I couldn’t resist introducing him to one of my favorite spots for a little extra fun, and that’s when we both knew this was something special.

As the weeks turned into months, our relationship grew deeper and more meaningful. About three months in, we both felt it — a steady, certain kind of love. Not rushed, not fleeting, but rooted in something bigger than ourselves.

It definitely wasn’t always easy, but we learned how to walk through every challenge with God at the center. Keeping Him in the picture gives us both strength, perspective, and grace for one another. Through every high and low, we choose each other — again and again.

The sweetest little confirmations came in the everyday moments: my dog is completely obsessed with Michael, and his dog feels the same about me. Our families have embraced us so fully — mine loves Michael, and I’ve fallen in love with his family too.

We are alike in all the ways that matter most — our faith, our values, our vision for the future — and different in ways that balance and strengthen each other. Somehow, it just works.

What began as one simple date has become a love story we’re so grateful for, and we cannot wait to begin this next chapter as husband and wife. 🤍
